Kate Colby

Kate Colby, a Lake Charles native, is a lifelong musician and performer. Since early childhood, her favorite thing to do was to entertain her friends and family with her singing and dancing. Her music career began at the age of twelve, cantoring for various local churches until she worked her way up to the position of music minister.

After earning a Bachelor's in Music Education from McNeese State University, Kate began her teaching career in Southeast Texas. Growing homesick and hungry for performance opportunities, she soon returned to Lake Charles. She has since thrown herself into the local theatre scene, both as a music director and as an actress. She has been involved in productions with ACTS Theatre, Lake Charles Little Theatre, and the Lake Charles chapter of Christian Youth Theatre.

In her spare time, Kate enjoys playing video games, travelling, and snuggling with her dog (Major) and her cat (Arlo).
